A manicure and pedicure in Amritsar should leave your hands and feet genuinely better, not just polished. At Nakhra Studio these are proper treatments — soak, exfoliation, cuticle work, callus work, a real massage, mask and finish — done with sterilised tools in a women-only studio.
We use the Pedicalm range for pedicures and Bombini for nail colour, with Vega professional tools throughout.
Both our manicure and pedicure follow the same shape, adjusted for hands or feet:
| Regular polish | Gel polish | |
|---|---|---|
| Wears | Around a week | Two to three weeks |
| Dry time | Needs care for a while afterwards | Cured and touch-dry immediately |
| Best for | Changing colour often, one event | Holidays, weddings, low maintenance |
| Removal | Comes off easily | Come back to us for a proper soak-off |
If you have gel on, please come to us to remove it rather than picking it off — picking takes layers of the natural nail with it, and that is the damage people wrongly blame on the gel itself.
Between the dust, open sandals for most of the year, and hard water, heels here crack and build callus faster than they do in most places. A pedicure every three to four weeks is maintenance rather than indulgence, and it is a lot easier than trying to rescue heels that have been left for six months.
We will do the callus work properly and then tell you what to do at home — which is usually a urea-based foot cream at night and socks, and it works far better than people expect once someone actually tells them to do it.
Every implement is sterilised after every single use. Files, buffers and anything else that cannot be reliably sterilised is single-use and disposed of in front of you. Liners are fresh for every pedicure.
Foot treatments in particular carry real infection risk when this is done casually, and it is worth being direct about that. Ask us about our process any time — we would rather you did.
One honest note: if you have a fungal nail infection, a verruca, diabetes affecting your feet, or an open wound, please tell us when you book. Some of those we can work around and some need a doctor first. We are cosmetologists, not medical practitioners, and we will tell you plainly which is which.
Gel is the sensible choice if you have a wedding or a trip, because it holds for two to three weeks and survives the day without chipping. For brides, hands are in a great many photographs — we plan the manicure to land close enough to the main function to be fresh, and our bridal nails guide covers shape and colour choices in more detail.
If you want length as well, look at nail extensions, or custom press-on nails for a single event.
Our technicians each hold a cosmetology degree and have five to seven-plus years of experience, all trained in-house by Mehak before working on a client. We are private and women-only, at 648 Basant Avenue, open every day. A manicure and pedicure pairs naturally with a facial — tell us when you book and we will hold the time.
Every three to four weeks in Amritsar. The dust, open footwear and hard water mean callus and cracked heels build up quickly, and regular maintenance is far easier than an occasional rescue.
Allow around an hour and a half for both together, longer if you are having gel. The massage and the callus work are the parts that take time, and they are the parts worth having.
Regular polish lasts about a week and is ideal if you change colour often. Gel holds two to three weeks, dries instantly, and is the better choice before a wedding or a holiday.
Every implement is sterilised after each use, and anything that cannot be sterilised properly — files, buffers, liners — is single-use and disposed of. Please do ask us in the studio.
Yes. Book a removal and we will soak it off safely. Please do not pick it off at home, as that takes layers of your natural nail with it.
We push back and tidy them carefully but we do not aggressively cut healthy cuticle. It protects the nail, and over-cutting causes more problems than it fixes.
Tell us when you book. Some conditions we can work around comfortably and some need a doctor to see them first. We are cosmetologists, not medical practitioners, and we will be honest with you about which yours is.
