If you are looking for a facial in Amritsar that does something measurable to your skin rather than just smelling nice for an hour, this is how we work at Nakhra Studio. We are a women-only studio on Basant Avenue, and we do not have a menu you pick blindly from. We consult your skin first, choose the ritual second, and tell you afterwards what to do at home so the result actually holds.
Before anything touches your face, one of our cosmetologists sits with you and looks properly at your skin — its type, its current condition, what it has been through recently, whether you are on any actives, and what is happening in your life in the next few weeks. Skin behaves differently in April than it does in December, and differently again the week before a wedding.
That consultation is the reason two clients with “dull skin” walk out having had two different treatments. One may be genuinely dehydrated and need water back in the skin. The other may be sitting under a layer of tan and dead cell build-up, which is a completely different problem with a completely different fix.
We consult again after the facial too. That second conversation is where we tell you what we actually saw once the skin was cleaned and worked on, and where you get your at-home routine — which is part of the service, not an upsell.
We are cosmetologists and estheticians. We are not dermatologists and we do not diagnose. If what you are dealing with is a medical skin condition — persistent cystic acne, a rash that will not settle, anything that looks like it needs a prescription — we will say so and tell you to see a dermatologist rather than sell you a facial that will not help. That honesty is why a lot of our clients came back.
The Korean approach — layered hydration, gentle exfoliation, no aggression. Deep cleanse, soften, then flood the skin with lightweight moisture in stages. This is the one for the glass-skin finish, and it suits most skin types because it works with the barrier instead of stripping it.
Our rescue treatment for thirsty, tight, flaky, dull skin — the kind Amritsar winters and air-conditioned offices produce. O3+ is a professional range we use because it delivers on dehydrated skin without leaving it greasy.
Kanpeki is one of our premium ranges, and this is the treatment we book for someone with an event coming. It is luminosity work — brightening, refining, evening out tone. Our hydra facial treatments sit within this premium range; we deliver hydra-style deep cleansing and infusion as part of our Kanpeki and premium facial rituals rather than as a separate branded machine service.
For skin that has started to lose its bounce. Firming, contouring, and a much longer massage phase, because lifting work is as much about the hands as the product.
Sensitive, reactive, breakout-prone skin. Everything dialled down — no harsh exfoliation, no heat, no fragrance-heavy layers. Built to settle skin rather than provoke it.
Add-ons we use where the consultation calls for it: a dedicated eye treatment, a 20-minute back massage, de-tan mask, organic de-tan, thermopack. Regular and premium bleach are available too.
People are often surprised by how much of a Nakhra facial is massage. That is deliberate. Product does part of the work; circulation and lymphatic drainage do the rest, and that is where the fresh, awake look on the way out actually comes from.
A treatment facial with us runs roughly like this: double cleanse, skin analysis under proper light, exfoliation chosen for your skin that day, extractions only if your skin needs them and only gently, then a long massage phase using Swedish techniques, then a mask matched to the concern, then serum, moisturiser and protection. In our luxury facials the massage extends beyond the face to the hands, arms, back, scalp and feet — you leave having had an actual treatment, not a product application.
Mehak trained for seven years at one of the top salons in Vancouver, and the Swedish massage technique she brought back is used across our facial and spa work. It is not something you will find at most salons in the city.
| If your skin is | What we would usually recommend |
|---|---|
| Dull and tired, no other complaint | K-Beauty Purify & Replenish |
| Tight, flaky, dehydrated | Skin Quencher with O3+ |
| Tanned or uneven in tone | Radiant Glow with Kanpeki, often with a de-tan add-on |
| Losing firmness | Vital Nutrient Face Lifting, as a course |
| Sensitive or breaking out | Calm & Clear |
| Getting ready for a wedding | A planned course, decided at consultation |
This table is a starting point, not a diagnosis. The recommendation you get in the chair may differ, and if it does, we will explain why.
The single most common mistake we see is a bride booking one facial three days before the wedding. Skin does not transform in one sitting, and a first-time treatment that close to the date is a risk rather than a plan.
When you come to us for event skin, we ask what functions you have and on what dates, then work backwards to build a course — how many sittings, how far apart, and which treatment at each stage. The last one lands far enough ahead that any temporary redness has completely settled. This planning is included in our pre-bridal packages, which start from ₹18,000 and are customised to each bride rather than sold off a shelf.
A facial every four to six weeks is roughly twenty per cent of the result. What you do on the days in between is the other eighty. So every client who has a facial with us leaves with a written routine for her skin — what to use, in what order, morning and night, and what to stop using. We do the same for hair.
Amritsar makes this matter more than it would elsewhere. The dust, the hard water and the sun mean skin that is left alone goes dull and tanned quickly, and a routine is what keeps you ahead of it instead of chasing it every six weeks.
Every tool is sterilised after every single use. Not wiped — sterilised. Disposables are disposed of in front of you. We use Vega professional tools and professional ranges including O3+, Kanpeki, and Korean and Japanese lines chosen for specific concerns.
Our team members each have between five and seven-plus years of experience and hold a cosmetology degree, and every one of them is trained in-house by Mehak on our protocols before she works on a client. We are women-only, the studio is private, and for many of our clients that is the whole reason they stopped going elsewhere.
We decide that with you, in person, after looking at your skin. Hydration for dehydrated skin, brightening for dullness or tan, firming for loss of bounce, and our Calm & Clear ritual for sensitive skin. You will be told why we are recommending it, and we will not sell you the expensive one if the simpler one is correct.
Every four to six weeks for most skin. In Amritsar’s dust and sun that spacing keeps you ahead of dullness and tan rather than repeatedly rescuing your skin from them. Before an event, book three to five days ahead so anything temporary has settled.
We deliver hydra-style facials within our premium ranges, including Kanpeki — deep cleansing, exfoliation and infusion built into a full ritual with massage. We are honest that this is our premium facial work rather than a separately branded machine treatment, and we will show you exactly what the treatment involves before you book.
Yes, always, and it is a significant part of the treatment rather than a token two minutes. Our luxury facials extend the massage to the hands, arms, back, scalp and feet using Swedish techniques.
Yes. Our Calm & Clear ritual is built for sensitive and breakout-prone skin. Tell your therapist about any reactions, products or medication at the consultation so she can adjust the treatment properly.
No. We are cosmetologists and estheticians, not dermatologists. We can improve the appearance and condition of skin considerably, but if what you have needs medical treatment we will tell you honestly and recommend you see a dermatologist.
